Who is CiCi? ((陈西西, Chen Xi Xi)

Well, almost all of you should of course know who works at the Apple help desk. But do any of you know who CiCi is? CiCi (陈西西, or Chen Xi Xi) is another one of the computer technicians at this school. She works in her office which is on the third floor IT rooms for the primary students. Whenever we see CiCi, she is in her office working, making it possible for the primary students to use computers since three years ago.

Every morning, CiCi wakes up early to get to school. She arrives at school at about 8 a.m. every week day. As part of her job, CiCi has to make sure all of the computers are in good shape, usable, so the students can use them during the school day. CiCi then goes back home at about 5 p.m. every evening.

CiCi was born and raised in a city called 盐城, which is in Jiangsu province, along with two sisters. During her childhood, she particularly enjoyed the family gatherings, like for birthdays and special occasions.

Now as an adult, in her spare time, she likes to play pingpong, but unfortunately she is not always able to, since she is very busy with work and taking care of her family. But when she plays pingpong, she most certainly enjoys it. When CiCi finishes work and goes home at around 5 p.m. CiCi then has to cook for the family. CiCi’s favorite thing to prepare for dinner is dumplings, because it is her favorite Chinese food. Afterwards, when she has finished everything, she can finally relax by watching television. CiCi really likes to watch the new TV show called ‘Three Kingdoms’ and she really thinks that everyone would like this show.

Since she has started to watch the new show ‘Three Kingdoms,’ she has also started to read the novel the show is based on. CiCi likes almost any type of music, but classical music is the type of music that she did mention in her interview with us.

Although CiCi knows how to speak Chinese and some English already, she still wishes she could learn a third language. She wishes she could speak Korean so she can watch the Korean reality shows they have. She thinks that they look very exciting.

When we asked CiCi where she dreamed of living if she could live anywhere around the world, it was a really simple and easy response from her. CiCi wishes that she could take her kids anywhere where they could grow up in a good environment, where they would be healthy and have a good education.

CiCi’s message to all of the students in SSIS is that she enjoys helping people even though she is very busy at times with work making sure that the primary department computers are working, but would still like get to know you, too.
